Municipal court

The Municipal Court is a court of law with jurisdiction limited to the City of Craig that typically addresses violations of city ordinances and also has jurisdiction over minor criminal cases and traffic cases. Court is held every Wednesday at 8:30am.

If you want the option of resolving your case before your hearing date,
call City Attorney Heather Cannon at (970) 826-2012 or
Court Administrator Gayle Zimmerman at (970) 826-2018.

* If a penalty assessment applies in your traffic case, and you pay before your court date, you may be entitled to a possible point reduction.
* If you have not had any traffic tickets in the past 2 years, you may qualify for a deferred sentence.
* If you have an animal case with a penalty assessment, you may pay the fine before your court date without an appearance.

The Municipal Court is holding In-Person appearances. Zoom hearings are not available at this time. You may social distance and/or wear a mask for your own health and safety, if you prefer.
